Jerome Charles, who is known as The French Stylist, is opening a salon in the main Overlake Hospital Pavilion Building located at 1231 116th NE, Bellevue. The new salon was designed by Driftmier project manager Arnold Morrison. Construction began in late December and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2016.
The bid submitted by Scott Construction LLC of Kirkland was accepted by Jerome and Renee Charles, owners of the salon. The contract was awarded after approval by Property Manager Gilbert Lewis of Healthcare Realty located in Nashville, Tennessee.
The tenant improvement will be an original build out of 1,250 SF in a larger 182,562 SF mixed use facility. Located on the street level of the 9-story building, The French Stylist will have an open floor plan but will create intimate spaces for treatment and relaxation through the use of lighting, opaque materials and sliding barn doors. The decor and finishes of the interior space will reflect a modern interpretation of the French Art Deco style. The spaces will allow the clients to receive a treatment that is equal to the boutiques of Paris.
Driftmier Architects has designed other boutique salons including the Wild Root Salon & Spa at the Northgate Mall.
