Qualstar Credit Union - Administration Center and Everett Branch

Qualstar Credit Union asked Driftmier Architects to help them consolidate their administrative functions into a 13,000 sf building. The project moved senior management and a number of departments into a building owned by the Credit Union within the same business campus. A branch, call center and IT department were already housed in the south half of the building. The north half was remodeled to accommodate the relocations and to provide a large board room, other conference rooms and a training facility. As that project was completed, remodel of the south half and general updating of the building was undertaken.

Following the administration building project, Qualstar asked that Driftmier design the remodel and expansion of their Everett branch. The branch doubled in size by removing a demising wall, and new storefronts were installed along Colby Avenue to make the facility inviting and open. With the additional offices, Qualstar will be able to better serve the loan needs of the community. Other improvements and additional space provide general upgrades, a better member service experience and more efficient work areas for staff. The branch stayed open during construction, and except for the occasional member’s confusion regarding the 10-foot relocation of the front door, the project proceeded with ease.
