North City Water District - Administration Building
The North City Water District retained Driftmier Architects to design a major overhaul of their administration building in Shoreline, WA. Over the years since moving onto this site, the District had grown substantially. Now the District needed two private meetings rooms, a large 1,000 sf board room, larger private offices, more open workstations, and a much larger fire-proof file storage vault. In order to accommodate the increase of customers in Shoreline and provide for future growth of the community, the building footprint was increased to 6,834 sf with room on site for a future storage building. An inviting public plaza frames the timber trussed entrance. The building was the first to be constructed under the City of Shoreline’s new vision for the North City Business District.
