Lake Whatcom Water and Sewer District - Administrative Office

An aging fast food restaurant was selected by the Lake Whatcom Water and Sewer District to become their new administrative office building in Bellingham, WA. The 2,320 sf building provided the location and access required by the District, though it needed significant changes to meet the District’s needs. The design included an extensive remodel to the existing building, addition of another 1,144 sf of space, reorganization of the site to provide for both public and secured district parking, a new entry plaza, a staff outdoor lunch area and landscaping. After working in a converted shop building for the last several decades, the District now has a modern and efficient facility for the public and the staff.
