Bids were opened for GRANCO Federal Credit Union’s new full service branch in Moses Lake, WA on June 4, 2015. Baker Construction & Development of Spokane was the lowest responsible bidder with a base bid of $1,780,005. The Credit Union has accepted that bid and awarded the contract to Baker. Work on the building designed by Driftmier Architects is expected to start before the end of June with a ground breaking ceremony at 11:00 on June 24, 2015.
The new ground up credit union building is 3,620 SF in floor area and sits on a 50,589 SF site located on the NW corner of a larger 73,952 SF parcel in the center of Moses Lake. The building will retain many of the design concepts used in the redesign of GRANCO’s main facility in Ephrata. However, this building will have an independent and more contemporary feel. Heavy timbers will support the large wood-clad glass storefront and give volume to the spacious lobby atrium. The exterior will feature stone wainscot below horizontal bevel siding and craftsman detailing to the trusses and timbers. The financial operations will be supported by two drive-up lanes and an exterior walk-up ATM. Driftmier’s Project Manager, Arnold Morrison, expects construction to be completed in winter of 2015.
Consultants for the project are B&T engineering of Issaquah (structural), Wells & Wade Mechanical of Wenatchee (mechanical), L&S Engineering of Spokane (electrical), Erlandsen Engineers of Wenatchee (civil), and Jamie Van de Vanter Group of Redmond (landscape).
Baker Construction recently wrapped up the remodel and expansion of GRANCO’s main facility in Ephrata, WA, also designed by Driftmier Architects.
