Wenatchee Valley Federal Credit Union has accepted a bid to construct a new full service branch in East Wenatchee, WA. Hale & Long General Contractors, Inc. of Wenatchee was awarded the $952,518 contract. Work on the Driftmier designed tenant improvement started construction the first week of May.
The credit union will occupy a footprint of 5,770 square feet of the existing 30,000 square foot Fasteners Building, which is located at 478 2nd Street SE. The highlight of the existing building is the main facade and features a custom curtain wall made of distinct glulam beams and custom glass. Aesthetically, the exterior of the building uses traditional materials in an industrial application.
The tenant improvement will retain the industrial concept for Wenatchee Valley FCU’s new branch. The large footprint will be broken up into three interior buildings to provide visual interest and a sense of separation. Each mass, or building, will have its own operational function within the branch and will be distinguished with individual architectural accents. The financial operations will be supported by two drive-up ATM’s with an additional walk-up ATM.
Driftmier’s Project Manager, Arnold Morrison, expects construction to be completed in fall of 2016. Consultants for the project are AUE engineering of Bellevue (Structural), L&S Engineering of Spokane (Mechanical & Sprinklers), Business Interiors Northwest (Furniture), and Sign Associate (Building Signage).
